A quick guided tour of the essentials — where to go, and what to do at each stop.

Two deeper tours follow this one: Standard mode for the day-to-day features, then Everything mode for tuning the app to fit you.

🧳 All Trips

Go here to pick which trip to work on. You might open…

  • An upcoming trip — to pack, check off tasks, add notes, or build your itinerary.
  • A current trip — to check your itinerary, review notes, or log expenses.
  • A past trip — to add trip notes or expenses, or to duplicate it into a new trip.
  • A template — to duplicate into a fresh trip.
  • A backup — to fall back on if you totally mess something up (and had the foresight to make one!).

Single-click a trip to open its Dashboard. Double-click (or click-and-hold) to open the Edit Trip page.

  • Trips are sorted by their start date.
  • The buttons at the bottom of the page give you quick access to the actions and pages you'll most likely want next.

📊 Trip Dashboard

The best home base when you're focused on a single trip. Use it often — before and during your trip — for an at-a-glance overview.

  • See everything in one place, including notes and itinerary items a travel companion added (if your trips are linked).
  • Confirm you haven't forgotten to pack anything — especially important items — or to finish important tasks. Don't forget items to buy, or to nudge tripmates about items and tasks you requested from them.
  • Double-check you're not missing any last-minute items or tasks.
  • Click any card heading (Packlist, Tasklist, Notes…) to jump straight to that page.
  • See what's on your itinerary for today and tomorrow so nothing sneaks up on you.
  • Click Suggest Activities for local events, places, and ideas you can add to your itinerary in one tap.
  • Look for new notes or expenses a companion recently added or updated.
  • Keep an eye on your budget so you don't overspend.
  • Make sure your Trip Tags are right (or add more). Tags power our item and task recommendations — and just thinking them through helps keep the trip top of mind so you remember things on your own.
  • Skim Retrospectives & Lessons Learned from past trips so you don't forget anything — or pack things you really don't need.
  • Glance at the weather so you bring the right clothing — coats, rain gear, and so on.
  • Use the Google Maps link to see where your destination is and what else might be nearby — or to just start navigating.

⚠️ Heads up about the map link: it goes to exactly what you entered in Edit Trip. If you only entered a city and state (or just a state), it'll drop you at a city center or the middle of a state — nowhere near your actual destination, perhaps! Enter a full address if you want it to take you somewhere more useful.

🛒 Recommended Gear

The quickest way to gear up on top items.

  • Check out recommended products based on items you're planning to bring on your trip — especially items marked “Buy”.
  • Single-click to view an item, and a single-click to add it to your PacklistPRO shopping cart for later.

The fastest and most thorough way to get everything you need for your trip!
