Shoal River Headwaters State Park is a Florida state park in Walton County, Florida, United States, west of DeFuniak Springs. The park protects the headwaters of the Shoal River and Gum Creek. The land is a part of the Northwest Florida Sentinel Landscape and abuts Eglin Air Force Base, serving as buffer land that supports military readiness while linking with nearby conservation lands to expand the Florida wildlife corridor. It provides habitat for many rare species, among them the gopher tortoise and the eastern indigo snake. Established on January 23, 2026, it is the 176th Florida state park and the first added since 2017.
