🏞️ The Cards, The Links, The Drive
Every card here collapses. About, Location, Trails and
What Visitors Say open by default; Rating & Notes, Links
and Other Parks Nearby are one tap on the heading.
Trails carries its count in the title and marks a trail ✓ done
once you've logged a hike on it; Filter these trails ↗ opens the Trails page
already narrowed to this park. What Visitors Say is the community's average
and the five latest public tips — shown to everyone, signed in or not.
Other Parks Nearby lists up to eight within 50 miles.
An awaiting a moderator's review banner is informational, not a
gate: the park is already live in the catalog for everyone.
Under the map, 📍 Check My Location unlocks Route on This
Map — the drive drawn right there, with alternates when there are
any. The two ↗ buttons beside it leave the site: Google
Maps ↗ hands the drive to Google, Google Place ↗ opens the
park's Google listing.
Use Google Routes and Avoid tolls swap in Google's paid
routing and are for trusted members only — everyone else's route comes from the
free engine, and when that finds only one way there the page says so.
In Links, only Official Website and Reservations are stored
links — the rest are ready-made searches built from the park's name and
town, which is why they work for every park.
✓ On Your List ≠ Been There
Signed in, Rating & Notes is your own record — and the list
and a visit are separate facts: + Add to My List says you're
interested; only a logged visit says you went.
Ticking I've Been Here! logs a real visit in one tap when you don't
know the date ("Date unknown"), and adds the park to your list; untick it
to take that visit back. + Log a Visit takes exactly as much date
as you know — day, month, year or none, and once you have logged one that
way the tick stops being the thing that removes it: use the visit's own
Delete, in Your Visits.
Priority to Go stays available even after you've been, and setting
one quietly adds the park to your list.
The ratings form has no Save button — everything saves
itself. The Changes save automatically line at the bottom is the
receipt, and Retry Save appears there when one fails.
⚠ Public, Private, Permanent
Best Time, Best Areas and A Tip to Share are
public — they go straight into What Visitors Say for everyone to read,
with no approval step and only a moderator able to take one down;
Private Notes are yours alone.
Your Overall rating feeds the anonymous community average only while
Include my ratings in the community average stays ticked — it
starts ticked.
Remove takes the park off your list and deletes every visit
and rating you logged for it — it asks first. Delete on a
single visit row is permanent too.
This record is shared with qMEET — one account, one
set of rows — so a visit, rating or removal here is a visit, rating or
removal there.
🧳 Tie It To A Trip
The visit form's Which Trip? — shown once you have trips — links
a visit to the trip it happened on.
Add to a Trip's Itinerary drops this park into the trip you pick
as an undated, planned activity — the one kind of itinerary item that
arrives with coordinates already set, so it's map-ready.
It appears whether or not you've been: planning a trip to a park you
haven't seen yet is the usual case.
